
The
great visionary Dr. G. D. Birla felt that no expense, no effort, no
sacrifice was too great to provide the right type of education to our
students. His generosity and munificence have consequently founded many
institutions under Birla Education Trust. From a seedling, the trust and
its institutions have developed into a large banyan tree, deep rooted
with branches spread all over the country. TIT Society is a proud member
of this saga with The Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences, Bhiwani was
established in the year 1943. The Institute has attached to it, a large
textile factory for training the students under actual mill conditions
and for conducting research and perfecting the processes necessary for
and incidental to the manufacture of all types of textile products. With
a modest beginning made in 1943 the Institute has grown into a premier
technical institute of the country drawing to its portals students from
the remotest corners of India and abroad.
Major Achievement of TITS ( 2004 - 2005
)
The Institute made all-round progress during the year 2004-2005 . The
Teachers applied themselves devotedly to academic pursuits and the
distinctions achieved by them are worthy of note as summarized below:-
Six persons who were earlier carrying out Ph.D. research in the
institute have been awarded degrees by MD University, Rohtak. Three PhD
research's are going on and Five more are in infant stage and to be
registered with University.
The faculty members have attended a number of conferences/seminars
during the past year and also presented technical papers therein. The
faculty members have also published numerous research
papers.
The Department of Management Studies has organized a National Seminar on
"Way to Excellence by Managing Strategic Change" on 9th March, 2002 ,
which was attended by a large business executives, academicians and
students from Haryana, Delhi and the surrounding states.Prof.B.P.Singh
who is a renowned academician in the field of management
, delivered the
Key-note address and the technical sessions were chaired by the
distinguished academicians like Prof. M.C.Kapoor , University of Delhi
and Prof. V.D. Sharma, Kurukshetra University. The learned speakers
presented very topical and thought provoking papers in the seminars.
