In order to promote self-administration and to encourage maximum participation
in various activities in the campus a number of societies have been
setup. The diversity of options inside TIT&S classrooms is mirrored
by the spectrum of opportunities outside the class. These activities
form a valuable of the training. It also gives an opportunity to the
students to interact with students of other colleges. All the societies
are student governed.
The College Magazine' -
An audacious endeavor by the students expressing the attitude of the
upcoming technocrats. in order to stimulate creative thinking amongst
the students and to inculcate in them the habit of expressing the ideas
in writing, the literary club publishes annually a magazine called 'KRITI'.
KRITI is a diligent attempt taken up every year and has been a success.
It has a cyber section named 'THE CYBER ZONE' having a collection of
classified inputs from many students. The articles contributed therein
by staff & students, which are of high standards, pertain to technical
& other topical subjects. Many eminent persons from the industry
& from other technical & research institutions also contribute
highly informative & illuminating articles. The KRITI is circulated
widely among educational institutions & industrial houses throughout
the country.
In addition to their academic attainment the performance of our students on the play-fields is
equally worthy of note. Participation in sports is compulsory for all students.
TIT&S
maintains a full-fledged sports filed, flood lit lawn tennis/badminton
courts & facilities for indoor games like table tennis etc. Cricket,
football & basketball are some of the other popular games. For those
who want to keep their body fit we have a fitness center. There are
a number of in-house competitions that include a special day & night
cricket tournament, that finally culminate in an annual sports meet.

Apart from other tools, one
way of learning is by action and participation in research. Each student
is encouraged to actively participate in various seminars. Eminent technologists
from the industry & other teaching and research institutions are
invited to deliver lectures on current topics of research so that the
students are up-to-date with the rest of the world.
Every year the Technical Society organizes
national level technical symposiums for students of different streams.
It organizes
MYSTICA for Computer & IT students and
ELECTRO EPITOME for Electronics & Communications/Instrumentation
students
which comprise a number of of events technical as well as
non-technical to encourage the zeal of budding technocrats.
